沒想過有朝一日，波寶島的字樣能像這樣踏實地印在書籍封面！很感謝親子天下的合作邀約，讓我有機會為得獎童書作家 - 亞平老師的全新職人童話，擔任插畫繪製一職，開啟波寶島外交之旅中，能夠為波寶們付出一點心力的契機。
透過這次合作深深感受到，一本從無到有的兒童讀本，所集結的創意、人力、時間、溝通、資源等，皆遠遠超出我們對一件作品的想像；原來一本簡單易懂的兒童讀本，是背後這些充滿熱情的大人，為孩子們投入大量的心血努力而催生，真的好不簡單、好不容易。 近一年的創作過程，我與編輯、作者來回無數次的討論修改，從前期的角色塑造、風格調性、動作分鏡、草稿發想，到後期的畫面配色、圖稿精修，很開心終於能將它拿在手中和各位島友分享～ I never imagined the day would come when the name “Popoland” would be proudly printed on the cover of a book! I’m truly grateful to CommonWealth Parenting for inviting me to collaborate on this project, giving me the opportunity to illustrate a brand-new profession-themed fairy tale by award-winning children’s book author Ya-Ping. It marks a meaningful step in Popoland’s journey abroad — a chance for POPO to lend a helping hand with heart. Through this collaboration, I’ve come to realize how much creativity, manpower, time, communication, and resources go into bringing a children’s reader to life. Behind every seemingly simple and easy-to-read book is a team of passionate adults who pour their dedication into every detail — it’s truly no easy feat. Over the course of nearly a year, I worked closely with the editor and author through countless rounds of discussion and revision — from early character design, style direction, storyboarding, and rough drafts, to final coloring and detailed illustration edits. I’m so happy to finally hold the finished book in my hands and share it with all of you — fellow friends of Popoland! |
