很開心與榮幸，能收到翰林出版的合作邀約，讓我們有機會參與113學年度國中社會教科書1-3年級、共6冊的封面插畫繪製；這也是四寶首次融入人類世界的樣貌！

由翰林編輯、美編等團隊共同發想設計的封面系列主題 - 經典人物向前行，挑選每冊核心重點人事物、由遠而近的行走排序，將從古至今的人文層次變化，以有趣活潑的筆觸體現出來；封底的接棒學習意象，凸顯出社會學科重視脈絡延續的精神，背景中的圖形，1至3年級為圓形→方形→多邊形，對應各階段的學習期許：互動尊重→公平公正→多元和諧

​還有地理、歷史、公民等分科的 QR code，巧妙安排在對應人物手中，可觀看各分科動態學習重點。

We’re truly honored and delighted to receive a collaboration invitation from Han Lin Publishing, which gave us the opportunity to illustrate the textbook covers for all six volumes of the 113 Academic Year Junior High Social Studies series (Grades 7 to 9).This also marks the first time the four POPO characters have stepped into the human world!

The cover theme — “Great Figures Through Time” — was developed in collaboration with Han Lin’s editorial and design teams. Each volume features key historical figures or events, arranged from background to foreground to show a chronological flow from ancient times to the modern era. Through lively, character-rich illustrations, the covers express the evolving layers of human civilization.

On the back covers, the “passing the torch” motif highlights the importance of continuity in social studies. The background shapes also change with grade level — from circles (Grade 7) to squares (Grade 8) to polygons (Grade 9) — symbolizing the educational focus at each stage:interaction & respect → fairness & justice → diversity & harmony.

Additionally, QR codes for Geography, History, and Civics are cleverly placed in the hands of the featured characters, allowing students to scan and explore key learning points for each subject in an engaging, interactive way.

來到1下進度，這次規劃的角色內容涵蓋了：

地理 - 農夫、漁民、雞農、鳳梨罐頭員工、坐高鐵玩具車的孩子；歷史 - 日治時期警察、蔣渭水與生病的臺灣、野百合學運；公民 - 結婚文化差異(中式、西式、原住民)、陳抗團體、媒體訊息

As we move into the second semester of Grade 7, this volume introduces a new lineup of characters across three subject areas:

Geography – a farmer, a fisherman, a poultry farmer, a pineapple cannery worker, and a child playing with a high-speed rail toy.

History – a Japanese-era police officer, Chiang Wei-shui alongside a sickly “Taiwan” personified, and a scene from the Wild Lily Student Movement.

Civics – cultural differences in wedding customs (including traditional Chinese, Western, and Indigenous styles), protest groups, and representations of media messaging.
