In 2024, TNH Creative Center (TNHCC) presents Ideal Living Lab, an exhibition themed around the idea of “living.” By deconstructing various aspects of dwelling, the exhibition reveals the dynamic relationship between living spaces and society, uncovers how individuals reflect themselves through space, and compares intergenerational family relationships. Through a process of questioning and experience, visitors are encouraged to make their own choices and, using themselves as a reference point, shape their ideal vision of home and life.
I’m truly honored and grateful to have been invited by QDYMAG and PLAN B to take part in this project. Through illustration, I aimed to capture the living environments of characters from five well-known TV dramas: 《月薪嬌妻》We Married as a Job 《熟男不結婚》The Man Who Can't Get Married 《我可能不會愛你》In Time with You 《HIStory 是非》HIStory 《有生之年》Living By illustrating these familiar fictional homes, the work explores how domestic spaces reflect the exhibition’s core theme of “living.” In this project, the POPO take on a supporting role as playful Easter eggs. If you visit the exhibition and explore the illustrated rooms from these five dramas, you’re sure to spot the four POPO characters subtly embedded throughout the scenes—making each space feel more lighthearted and fun. I hope this challenging yet delightful series brings joy to everyone who sees it, and helps stir up some fond memories of the moments we once spent wholeheartedly following these shows. |
